Spring Enrollment Now Open!
It may not feel like it, but spring kickball is right around the corner. Well, maybe not right around the corner, but at least the spring enrollment is open to all teams looking to "get their kickball on" this spring.
The enrollment form is a tad different this year because we are changing up the division alignments a bit. It will basically break down into two groups. Those Golden Lunchbox tournament eligible and those who are just out there to have fun and don't
care about making the tournament or not. A simple checkmark in the appropriate box will do fine. Those who are interested in the GL tournament, you will then be divided up into 2 groups according to skill level. More detailed explanation of each breakdown can be found on the enrollment page of the website.
Like all other rec sports leagues out there our hope is to give teams a better kickball experience with teams that are your skill level on a week to week basis.
Can't wait for the spring and hope to see you on the playground real soon!!

Fall EOS has Fantastic Day!!
It will be deemed the "season that wouldn't end" because of all the rainouts and makeups we were trying to get it in. We even had games the night before the GL tournament which is unheard of... but oh well. It is in the books and I think we can all agree it will be one to remember. Despite the weather during the season, we were definately rewarded with glorious sunny skies and weather in the 70's for the Lunchbox Tournament. Lots of exciting action, some upsets, and good play all around. Thanks goes out to all the out of town teams that made the trip, as well as our guests from St Louis and Little Rock!!
Congrats goes to all teams but especially
Vandelay Valley State for winning the Golden Lunchbox and the Spankers for taking home the runner-up prize, the Silver Thermos. Great game to watch as were plenty of other games throughout the day making it fantastic day of kickball.
A special thanks goes to all who help make the tournament and Bash what it is. Umps, decorators, lunch getters, etc all get special thanks. We look forward to seeing you at other great MUSA events and the 2010 spring kickball season.

Summer EOS a Hot One!!
Flippin' hot can't even describe what it was like in the sun on August 15th for the 2009 Summer EOS. Like true champions though, Kick In a Box fought through it and became champions of yet another off season. Not sure if it was the hot, moist air or not but runs were hard to come by in the tournament and KIAB won only 1-0 in the final game against 2nd year in a row runner-ups Sock It 2 Me. The wind was blowing in for most of the day so small ball prevailed and basically came down to who made the least amount of mistakes. That would go for all the games that were played in the tournament. From top to bottom most teams were pretty evenly matched and it all came down to discipline in the field and on the basepaths. Congrats to all teams for great seasons and glad the season and tournament were another success.

The Gas Tank Is Full!!
Great job by all teams that participated in the Spring EOS Golden Lunchbox tournament. I don't think we could have asked for a better day of weather as witness to the 25-30 people that stuck around after the tournament to enjoy a great day and hang out at the park a bit longer. Among them were GL champions Got Gas? who remarkably only allowed 1 run on defense all tournament long. When you say defense wins championships, I guess it speaks volumes. hard to lose when you only allow 1 run in all tournament. Incredible. Hats off to the SuperDudes as well for making another great run only to fall a tad short in the final 1-0, but they did claim the Silver Thermos, so another great season for them.
We do want to say thanks for all the hard work the umps and field monitors put in each season to make this league run as well as it does. Great job everyone and we hope to see you in the fall!! See below for the completed bracket with scores.

Walk off to win it all...
The scene was set. Monday March 16th, Milwaukee County Sports Complex. The four teams making the playoffs for the Arena championship and to find out who is king of the arena. Two teams from Tuesdays, Kick In a Box, Oral Standards and two from Thursdays, The Legion and Blue Balls. The Legion was promptly dispatched from the tournament 9-6 at the hands of KIAB. The score wasn't that close when Blue Balls took down Oral Standards 16-2 setting up the final. KIAB took an early lead by 3 and maintained it for a majority of the game until late when Blue Balls tied it up at 5. Both teams battled back and forth with great defense in extra innings until the fateful pitch from the Blue Balls pitcher. Once released he knew he was in trouble given who was up to kick. Without hesitation Brian Wilmet sent a bomb out to center that was no doubt the winning walk off home run and giving Kick In the Box the 2009 Arena title.
Congrats to all playoff teams for great seasons!!
